Official press release:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CMT AND Y! MUSIC TO EXCLUSIVELY PREMIERE JERRY LEE LEWIS’ ANIMATED “PINK CADILLAC” VIDEO FROM HIS RECENT RELEASE “LAST MAN STANDING”

LEWIS’ LATEST RELEASE IN OVER TEN YEARS WENT STRAIGHT TO

#1 ON BILLBOARD’S TOP INDEPENDENT ALBUM CHART AND

HAS SHIPPED OVER 175 THOUSAND UNITS IN THE FIRST FOUR WEEKS

LOS ANGELES, CA OCTOBER 30, 2006— Four weeks after the very successful release of Jerry Lee Lewis’ newest studio album in over ten years, Last Man Standing, CMT will exclusively broadcast the premiere of the album’s Pink Cadillac music video on November 2nd. This brilliantly animated video will play frequently throughout November 2 – 4, only on CMT’s Wide Open Country segment of the Top 20 Countdown. The video will make its online debut at midnight beginning October 30th on Y! Music http://music.yahoo.com/.

Lewis’ critically acclaimed album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Independent Album Chart, at #4 on the Billboard Top Country Album Chart and at #26 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart in the first week of its release. The star-studded album, which features 15 members of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame including Lewis himself, has shipped over 175 thousand units and hit #6 on the Americana Radio Charts. This 71 year-old founding father of rock ‘n’ roll known as The Killer is back.

Last Man Standing has been widely praised: “Jerry Lee Lewis reinforces his status as one of rock 'n' roll's founding fathers” according to Vanity Fair; Randy Lewis of the Los Angeles Times raves “[Jimmy Rip and Steve Bing] succeeded in capturing him sounding more feisty and singularly expressive at 70 than anyone could reasonably imagine” and Jon Pareles of the New York Times says, “The album is packed with rock-star guests…and Mr. Lewis easily dominates them all." Chuck Young writes in Rolling Stone, “The only guy in all of music who makes Keith Richards look about as dangerous as Jessica Simpson, the Killer continues to rage into the night" and Edna Gundersen of USA Today praises "On Standing, the tenacious Lewis still sounds like a swaggering, defiant champion with no intention of relinquishing his belt anytime soon."

In support of his album, Lewis has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman along with duet partner Neil Young, on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, on Don Imus’ syndicated radio show and MSNBC Live Show, performed at this year’s FarmAid benefit concert as well as gave three rare in store performances in New York, Los Angeles and Memphis. He also appeared on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic and Indie 103.1’s Jonesy’s Jukebox as well as NPR’s World Café. Lewis is scheduled to appear on The Today Show on November 29th and on The Tonight Show on November 21st.

Lewis’ 1957 hit Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin On” has also been selected as a historical recording to be issued into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry. Each year, the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress selects 50 recordings that are believed to be ‘culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant’ to preserver forever. This year, Lewis recording is in the company of Jimi Hendrix’s 1967 album Are You Experienced. On Saturday, October 28th, PBS kicked off a five part series about five of the fifty recordings for the 2005 Registry entrants with a special about Lewis’ recording,

The highly anticipated new studio album from mythic rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis, Last Man Standing, was released on September 26th featuring a dream roster of guest artists. A Letter To My Fans

June 16, 2006

I just finished playing a rockin' show to a sold out crowd at the Olympia in Paris France only to find the promoter
of all the shows planned in Germany has failed to fulfil his contractual obligations.

I am disappointed that I will not be performing for my loyal fans in Germany as originally planned.

I look forward to performing for my fans throughout the summer at my concerts in France, Spain & the United Kingdom.

Yours truly,

Jerry Lee Lewis
